Q. What therapies can I expect at Veramar Health and
Wellness Retreats?
A. Shortly upon arrival, you will meet with a health care
specialist MD to determine your level of fitness and help identify your health
goals. The specialist will then work with you to create a plan that fits your
needs. Some of the therapies and activities include massage, physiotherapy,
hydrotherapy and swimming in the heated salt water pool.
Q. Can I stay longer than the 21 days?
A. Yes. A three week stay will have you well on the path to
improved health and fitness. Some guests will wish to extend their stay beyond
the three weeks to make the changes they need to achieve their personal goals.
All of our retreats are flexible, and can be tailored to fit your schedule and
availability.

Q. Where is the location Veramar Health and Wellness
Retreats?
A. We are located in Rovinj, Croatia, on the Adriatic Coast
just across from Venice, Italy. We are situated within the Rovinj Orthopedic
and Rehabilitation Health Centre, on a stunning 50 acre wooded peninsula,
overlooking the Rovinj city centre and the pristine Adriatic Sea.
Q. How do I get from the airport to the Health Centre?
A. A cheerful Rovinj O&R Health Centre representative will
meet you at the airport and bring you and your things up to the Health Centre.
It is important to confirm with us any flight changes.
Q. What types of health services are available during my
stay?
A . As a part of the 21 day program you will receive a massage
every other day or as prescribed by the health professional. You are welcome to
schedule more for an additional cost.

Q. What is the weather like in Rovinj?
A. Rovinj has a Mediterranean climate, mild winters with
temperatures ranging from 5° to 15°C and dry summers with temperatures ranging
from 26° to 30°C. Summer nights are warm with the occasional gentle sea breeze.
During the hottest days water temperature rises up to 28°C. Rovinj has an
average of 134 sunny days in a year and the least amount of overcast days along
the Adriatic.

Q. What documents do I need to enter Croatia?
A. A passport is necessary to enter Croatia. Tourists traveling
from Europe or the Americas do not need a VISA in advance. Tourists may remain

Q. What other information is available about Croatia?
A. Area of Croatia is 56,542 km2, with an additional
31,067 km2 of territorial waters. The Croatian coast has length of 5,835 km -
including 4,058 km of island, islet and reef coastline. There are 1,185 islands
in Croatia of which, 67 are inhabited. The largest islands are Krk and Cres.
Population of Croatia is 4,493,312 (July 2007 est.)

Time zone is GMT plus one hour in winter and GMT plus two in
summer.

Working hours: Shops and department stores are open between 8
a.m. and 8 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., or to 3 p.m. A smaller
number of stores close between noon and 4 p.m. Many stores are also open on
Sundays, especially in the summer, and a smaller number in the larger cities
are open 24 hours a day. Public services and companies usually work from 8.30
a.m. to 4.30 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
Post and Telecommunications: Post Offices are open from 7 a.m.
to 7 p.m., and on Saturdays until 1 p.m. There are Post Offices in the larger
cities which are open until 10 p.m. in the summer. Postage stamps are sold in
Post Offices and at newsstands. Public telephones can be used only with phone
cards, which can be purchased in Post Offices and at newsstands, in hotels and
tourist complexes.
